Place Description:
This is a public beach and boat launch, just across the road from Burton Acres Park. It's a nice place for a picnic or to relax. The surrounding beaches are private, so it's not the place for a long beach walk.
Perhaps the most interesting feature is the high density of broken shells. They literally COVER the beach in places. Somewhere nearby there is a Native American shell midden, but we didn't find it here. More info here: http://www.washington.edu/uwpress/search/books/STEVAS.html
