Place Description:
Welcome to Lake Union Park. This 12-acre park is a former naval reserve center, and was finally consolidated as a public park in 2000. Seattle Parks Foundation raised $20 million toward a $30 million park improvement, and the first phase (pictured here) opened on April 30, 2008.
Expect a dynamic site until the park is completed in 2010, but the Great Lawn, boardwalk, and Historic Ships Wharf will remain open.
